INSTRUCTIONS FOR PUBLICATION

The 14th SILEL will be publishing the approved abstracts in its website; full papers accepted in the event and overcoming the evaluation process will be published in electronic proceedings. The authors should follow the instructions detailed below.

ABSTRACTS

Abstracts for Thematic Sessions: The abstract must be submitted during registration. Text should be in Times New Roman, font size 12-point, single-spaced, in a concise single paragraph, and without references. It must have a minimum length of 300 words, and a maximum of 500, and clearly presenting: objectives, the thematic session main topic and its theoretical and methodological approach. If necessary, it should add details on the approaches that will guide the works in the thematic session (theoretical discussions, data analysis, research results, researches with multiple approaches and so on). Abstracts for TS Participants and Poster Presentation: The abstract must be submitted during registration. Text should be in Times New Roman, font size 12-point, single-spaced, in a concise single paragraph, and without references. It must have a minimum length of 200 words, and a maximum of 400, and clearly presenting: objectives, its theoretical and methodological approach, hypothesis and general results.

IMPORTANT GUIDELINES

1. In the registration form, fill in carefully the area and the key-words, since this information will guide the thematic session leaders as well as the board of advisers and distribution of the sessions in the Conference Programme.

2. Participants of the lusophone community must present the text (title, abstract, area, keywords) in Portuguese without any phonetic fonts. Participants of other communities must use other languages (Spanish, French or English) without any phonetic fonts.

3. Information on any financial supporter should be placed at the end of the abstract in brackets. E.g. (Financial support by FAPEMIG, nº xxxx-xxxxx-x)

4. Authors should faithfully follow the instructions, otherwise they will not be reviewed.

Papers presented by guest speakers and roundtable participants, as well as by leaders and participants of thematic sections can be submitted - from September 19 to October 19 – for publication in the electronic proceedings.

Only keynote speakers, roundtable and thematic sections participants are allowed to submit texts for publication on this 4th edition of the proceedings. Submitted texts must refer to presented papers during SILEL 2013.

Texts can be written in Portuguese, English, Spanish or French, and follow grammar standards of each language.

The authors will not hold copyrights when sending their texts to the proceedings and must give permission to address the rights to a collective work, assuring that the text was fully proofread.

Formatting Style for papers

A) Title: centered, uppercase and bold.
B) Name(s) of author(s): two lines below the title, on the right. Uppercase just for last surname.
C) Institution: full name, one line below authors’ names.
D) Below the name of the institution, please inform the authors’ emails.
E) Two lines below the name of the institution and the authors’ emails, write the word Abstract (in the language the text was written) without entering, using single space, bold and lowercase and followed by colon. After colon, write the abstract (single space) in the language the text was written (maximum 200 words). F)
Two lines below the abstract, write Keywords (in the language the text was written), bold, lowercase, without entering and followed by colon. After colon, insert 3-5 keywords, separated by semicolon.
G) Page Settings: Paper: A4 Numbering: outside, top right corner Margins (top, bottom, left, right): 2.5 cm Font: Times New Roman Font size: 12 Highlight quotations: font size 11 indented left 4.0 cm. Notes: font size 10 Spacing: single
H) Subtitles: bold, aligned to the left, without entering, with progressive numbering.
I) Footnotes must be at the bottom of the page, followed by their numeric indexes.
J) Quoted references must appear at the end of the paper, in a full form, alphabetic order from author’s surname. ABNT’s (Brazilian Association of Technical Norms) standards must be followed.
K) Papers must have 20 pages, including references. Attachments must be proofread by author(s).

IMPORTANT NOTES

1) Non-standard texts will not be published;

2) UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES the organizing committee will receive texts to be published in the Proceedings after the deadline provided for submission.
