ABOUT THE SYMPOSIUM

Organized by the Languages and Linguistics Institute of the Federal University of Uberlandia – Minas Gerais - Brazil, SILEL – National and International Symposium on Languages Studies and Linguistics – is a biennial scientific and academic event that involves Linguistics and Literature areas.

The 14th National Symposium on Languages and Linguistics and the 4th International Symposium on Languages and Linguistics will be held in Santa Monica Campus of the Federal University of Uberlândia, on November 20-22 / 2013.

In its 14th edition, the event aims at discussing and diffusing scientific, academic, technical and cultural productions through its several activities, such as conferences, roundtables, thematic sessions, posters and cultural activities.

SILEL is designed for the academic audience dealing with Languages and Linguistics, and working in high education institutions in Brazil and abroad. It is also designed for professionals of public and private schools, undergraduate and graduate students and other interested practitioners.

In this edition, special attention will be given by the organizing committee for maintaining permanent debate and questioning to guarantee the event reputation.
